ILS (Independent Living Skills) at Escondido YMCA

All foster youth are invited to attend
*Eligible youth must have been in foster care on the 1st day after their 16th birthday.
You can begin to prepare yourself now and receive assistance in entering the world as an adult with the help of Independent Living Skills.  Empower yourself with knowledge and resources that are available to you.
Weekly classes are held on a variety of topics such as money management, careers, job searches and more.

Fostering Change.org
If you are a current foster youth getting ready to emancipate from the dependency system, or if you are a former foster youth looking for resources and information, this site is for you.  You can get information and resources on health, money, housing and more.  You will also find a calendar of events for foster youth.
