Annual Whale Watching Trip Monday, February 15, 2010 We will be sponsoring another annual whale watching trip on Presidents Day holiday. Space is limited. RSVP is required. If you have not already RSVP'd, please contact Diane Jackson at (760) 743-7563 to sign up.
Our Next Birthday Party & Picnic On Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Felicita Park in Escondido We will celebrate for kids with birthdays between October and March. Join us for a barbeque lunch, face painting and other activities, followed by cake, and a birthday gift for each child in your foster family who celebrates their birthday between October and March. Escondido Check center will help us sponsor this event. RSVP to Diane Jackson at (760) 743-7563 with the number of family members you will have attaending and the names and ages of the kids in your family who have birthdays between October and March. Please join us even if you do not have any kids celebrating birthdays during these months.

Christmas Party & Pajama Giveaway

Backpacks for Foster Kids
Do you have a school age foster child in need of a backpack and/or school supplies? Thanks to the generosity of some local community organizations we can help with this need. Contact us at information@connectedthroughkids.com to arrange a time to stop and get one.
CTK Girl Scout Group Troop #4947 Would you like to have your girls in Brownies or Girl Scouts but aren't sure what troop they could join? Your foster child can now join a troop and stay in that troop even if she moves to another home or reunites. Connected Through Kids has formed a "Group Troop" for girls of mixed ages, 5 through 16 years old. The girls can be foster, biological, or relative children. The group is led by foster parents and meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. If you have questions, would like to help our troop, or would like your child to join Troop #4947, call Janice Evans at (760) 519-9857.

If you are a foster parent or kinship caregiver, we have Notary Public service available to you at "no charge". Call us at (760) 716-4824 to make arrangements to have a signature notarized.
Our hope is that we can empower you to seek the help you may need, or to simply educate yourself, regarding issues that concern caring for a child in foster care. Through this web site we have "connected you" to what we believe to be helpful resources.
